PigeonDM vs ManyChat
They bill you per contact. We do not bill you per anything.
Their plans are sized by how many contacts you reach in a month, so the bill follows your audience. PigeonDM costs $15 a month whatever happens, and the free plan answers everyone who comments on 3 of your posts.
What ManyChat charges for
On 2 March 2026 ManyChat moved to pricing based on active contacts per month, and cut the free plan from 1,000 contacts to 25.
Checked August 3, 2026. Their pricing page
Paid tiers are sized in contacts, so a post that reaches more people moves you up a tier.
Checked August 3, 2026. Their pricing page
Prices change, and ours is on our own pricing page. If you find one of these out of date, we would rather hear it than leave it up.
What PigeonDM does on both its plans
No cap on DMs sent
Not on the free plan, not on the Pro one. A week that goes well costs the same as a week that does not.
One DM per person, per post
Held by the database itself, claimed before the send rather than checked after. A duplicate webhook cannot produce a second message.
The sends that went nowhere
The log keeps 60 days, and it shows the people who asked and got nothing because the post was not set up. That is the list worth reading.
What PigeonDM does not do
One trigger, and one only: a comment on a post or reel of the account you connected. Not story replies, not mentions, not comments on a live, not keywords sent to your inbox, and nothing outside Instagram. Most tools in this category cover several of those. If you need them, this is the wrong page and we would rather you knew now.
Where ManyChat is the better choice
ManyChat covers Messenger, WhatsApp, TikTok and SMS, builds full conversation flows, and runs broadcast campaigns. PigeonDM does one thing on Instagram. If you need any of the rest, they are the better tool and it is not close.
